Pradita University held a user training session on Thursday, October 3, 2024, presenting Mr. Muhammad David Lung, an iThenticate representative, as the speaker. The event was held in the morning from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. Vice Rector Mr. Dr. Hendro Susanto, SE, MM, and all Head of Study Programs, as well as Pradita University lecturers and instructors, were attend at the event.
The main topics included an introduction to iThenticate and how it functions, a definition of plagiarism and how it differs from text similarity, what constitutes a reasonable degree of similarity in a written piece, best practices for similarity checking, and how to use iThenticate to find text similarities.
The event was interactive, several audience asked questions related to the limitations in similarity checking, and how to access iThenticate. In order to enhance the quality of the institution, it is intended that this event will teach instructors and lecturers how to use iThenticate, which facilitates the publication process.
